Most Garage Door builders use the wrong sealer or none at all.
We use Alkyd based sealers that are slow drying. This ensures tat the sealer absorbs thoroughly into the fibers of the wood preventing tannin bleed. Fast drying based sealers don’t have the ability to prevent this.
Other Door builders don’t seal the areas where glass is installed.
We use alkyd sealers and polyurethane gazers sealant to insure that no moisture gets into the cavity that holds the glass in place. This prevents rot and mildew from forming.
Most door manufacturers don’t use the correct species of lumber.
We use naturally rot-resistant lumber that provides beauty, strength and durability to your garage door.
